The event takes its name from the Sanskrit words "amrit," meaning "ambrosia," "immortality," and "imperishable," and "kalash," which refers to a pot or jar believed to contain "amrita," the elixir of life.
The "Meri Maati Mera Desh" program aims to create an emotional connection between every individual, family, and citizen with the idea of building a great India. NSS Unit - PG volunteers played a significant role by collecting soil and rice grains from their own households and depositing them in the Amrit kalash (elixir pot) located on the college campus. During the event, the Panch Pran pledge was taken by Vice-Principal Dr. M. Srinivasa Reddy, NSS Unit - PG Program Officer Dr. T. Suresh, and the NSS Unit - PG volunteers.
The soil from these Amrit Kalash pots will be placed in the Amrit Vatika, paying homage to India's brave heroes. Subsequently, the kalash will be handed over to a block-level agency as part of this meaningful initiative.
