Academic prizes were given to students of 2015-17 and 2014-16 batches who topped their respective classes at a grand ceremony on 18/02/2017 at the Old Seminar Hall. The Chief Guest of the event was Shri K Rajendra Kumar, IPS, DGP (Retd.), Jammu & Kashmir who was also an alumnus of our college. The chief guest also delivered the Gordon Memorial Lecture before giving away the prizes. The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation conducted an orientation programme for MBA and MCA students on 23/02/2017 at the PG Seminar Hall. The Principal Consultant, Dr N Sailaja spoke during the programme and made the students understand the importance of acquiring skills to secure good jobs and have a fulfilling career. She briefed the students about the 'Digital Marketing' and 'Java' for MBA and MCA students respectively. She encouraged the students to enroll themselves for these courses. Officials from IT major HCL and US based State Street, a financial services company along with officials from AP CM's office visited Andhra Loyola College on 08/02/2017 to meet with the management of the college and interact with students of MBA and B.Com. The college management made a presentation about the strengths of the college and our students. The visiting officials discussed their requirements and expectations. Later, they interacted with the select group of MBA students and B.Com students. They were impressed with the quality of the students. HCL is planning to start operations in Financial Services (Investment Banking) in Vijayawada as was already reported in many local dailies. Our MBA students won prizes at the Annual Festival of Siddhartha Engineering College (AFOSEC - 2017), at Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada. Lakshmi Durga (NMBA 47) and KVNK Kishore (NMBA 38) won first prize in 'ADTRACK', an advertisement making competition. Sasi Chaitanya (AMBA 36) and Amarnadh (AMBA 49) won first prize in 'Photostory'. Ali, Gopi, and Vishal 1.       Gopinadh (NMBA 03), Vishal Yadav (NMBA 12) and Ali Khan (NMBA 58) won first prize in ‘Market Makers’ and Chandra Venkatesh (AMBA 37), T Joseph Naveen (AMBA 41), S Rafi (AMBA 42) and Lalitha Sri (AMBA 54) won first prize in B-Quiz at Nirulotsav – 2K17 organised by Vignan Nirula Institute of Science and Technology, Guntur.
